Avid birder George Ebers leads a hike in search of spring birds at this unique outdoor recreation park. In beautiful woodlands surrounding a 40-acre lake, we’ll hope to see a wide variety of feathered friends. Bring your binoculars; no dogs, please.
Meet/Park: Windmill Lake parking lot, 35957 Bayfield River Road.
Duration: 2 hours
Difficulty: easy. Well-defined trail, gentle inclines. Hiking boots not required, but trails may be wet.

Trail Hazards: some poison ivy to avoid
Preparation: binoculars, sturdy shoes, water. Check weather report, dress accordingly.
